AREAS OF INTEREST
Parkwood is focused on areas where our sales and go-to-market experience indicate innovative opportunities and market trends supporting strong future growth.
Data Centers
With a diverse range of expertise across data center categories, from enterprise data centers to hyperscale data centers, to micro/edge data centers our focus is to provide products that are designed to ensure optimal performance, security and efficiency.
Having worked with so many data centers in Data Center Alley, Ashburn, VA we’ve developed an intimate understanding of power and cooling challenges. This market is also underpinned by multiple growth vectors, including the investment in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, increasing data intensity and requirements of low latency processing and the shift to the cloud. In response, we continue to introduce innovative power and cooling solutions designed to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the longevity of deployed equipment.
Energy and Sustainability
Data center energy use is in the spotlight like never before with the construction boom driven by the hyperscalers and their requirement for AI-ready facilities, meaning power is now needed in unimaginable quantities. Combined with the CHIPS Act, the onshoring of the semiconductor supply chain presents unique challenges for climate goals and water security. As companies look to make their operations more sustainable, they are trying to balance how to access more power without adding to their carbon footprint.
To address these challenges, we work with a growing group of innovative companies delivering unique solutions in air filtration, water treatment and applicable monitoring.
Cyber Effectiveness
The last decade has seen major increases in cyber regulation and investment and yet cyber risk has only grown. Executives across sectors are asking, how do we know if we have an effective cyber security program?
We help answer this question by framing security risk so that strong, sustainable programs can be built and program effectiveness can be communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
Framework fundamentals:
Our approach prioritizes preventive measures based on risk.
We assume an incident will happen, and we work with clients to design for resiliency.
We stress the importance of testing and continuous monitoring of mitigation measures to demonstrate security performance.
Our approach is grounded in the belief that effective security is not an end-state so much as it is a continuing process – founded in a cycle of activity to assess, mitigate and monitor security risk. We work continuously to incorporate insights we learn from client projects, discussions with government stakeholders and interactions with solutions providers into our cyber security framework. As a result, we offer clients a differentiated approach to advancing key strategic objectives.
